Gas (or propane) BBQ's and grills are the easiest to use and most versatile of all the BBQ types. With endless configurations available including extra's such as side burners and rotisseries, gas BBQ's and grills are an easy to use simple solution with minimal fuss. Great for beginners all the way through to pro's they are relatively affordable to run and easy to maintain. Although you don't get the authentic bbq taste to your food.

Solid fuel bbq's are also known as charcoal bbq's considered traditional BBQ'ing. Normally fuelled by either charcoal or briquettes they give a more authentic smokey wood flavour to your foo. A little more work to manage your fire/heat but well worth it when you get it right and the bbq flavour bursts out of your food.

Generally constructed from heavier steel and cast materials to withstand higher temps for longer periods, solid fuel bbq's tend to be heavier than their gas equivalents

Electric Grills are the quick set and go solution for grilling food. Needing an electric power source to operate means they are not as portable and versatile as the other 2 styles of BBQ. Great for indoors and cooking small amounts of food, they are efficient, relatively low cost and low maintenance. Generally not the choice of BBQ aficionados electric grills are generally seen more a kitchen appliance rather than an outdoor bbq or grill.
